Although the color scheme is suitable for holiday attire, it can also be used for spring by replacing the red and white gingham check dress (featured in the article) with:

-Green check or solid to match DMC floss #3052

-Blue check or solid to match DMC floss #827

-Yellow check or solid to match DMC floss #744

-White dress with a satin sash to match one of the colors in the embroidery
